For just this once

Thu Oct 12, 2006, 11:11 PM
I have finally seen an anime film for the first time in my life that really moved me and that I actually wanted to keep watching to the end. Theme and art wise I never knew such a beautiful work or story would ever be found in the medium. This cartoon is about a Lamb that lost his mother to a wolf and then wants to become one. Its about a hour long. I don't think there is anything else in the medium that can match the level of this quick flick.

Ohmygoodness! That's...
I bet that's the same company that did one of my favourite animes, Unico!! [link]

It's the same voice actor that does Chirin and Unico, that's for certian! =D
Unico still makes me cry. It's just that good... I would really love to see more of Chirin as well if it's anything near that quality, which I'm guessing it is ^^
Both have the kinda feel in the beginning where you'd never guess what comes later in the story... I mean, heck, Unico doesn't quite bring to mind giant, skeletal, axe-weilding demons, but I guess that's another charm of the classics X3

As far as I know that is the only movie with Chirin. The whole flick is there broken up into about 10 parts. He looks badass when he is older!

Watched the whole thing last night... and he totally does X3 That was a really awesome movie.
And for a random trivia fact, it was indeed the same company that made Unico, and, get this, Hello Kitty too :giggle:

No I don't believe so, also this flick is pretty much a tragedy.

nope I know its not now! Someone even said the characters reminded him of chirin bell which is what this is.
